I'm a college student, a writer, and, oh yeah, a bit of a freak. I'm finishing my degree in political science and trying to come up with a way to change the world for the better that would still let me sleep in as often as possible. What can I say, a girl has to have some priorities. I approach the world through stories. Writing them, reading them, hearing them, telling them. I am a single mommy to a 3 year old little boy. I love him so much. I am taking a break from school right now. I currently work as a waitress for a bar in Littleton. I'm recently out on my own again, and have really discovered who I am, and what I want out of life in these past few years. I prefer not to live by any arbitrary rules other people seem to live by, but instead to go with my own flow.

Oh this part is so much fun. I would say that I am a self-starter who hates being micro-managed on any level. I am adventuresome to a fault. Give me a challenge or a dare or just something new to do and I am all over it. Staying fit is important to me, after all, I am not getting any younger. I'm tryng this out so we'll see how it goes....

I enjoy golf, watching sports like Football and Hockey, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding, spending time with friends and family, watching my children participate in the various sports that they play. This is always the hardest. Explaining to a complete stranger why I'm such a great person. Others see me as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical and always interesting, someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go my head. I'm currently living in Littleton and just moved back. I plan on returning to college next fall and majoring in...something. I am torn between the possibilities of teaching and psychology. Almost every academic pursuit interests me in some way and makes it hard for me to permanently decide.

I suppose you could say I am somewhat introverted, however when I am able I enjoy spending time with friends, reading, playing games and my family.

I am an avid golfer . My enthusiasm for golf exceeds my expertice, but I have all summer to work on my game. I love to walk, versus ride a cart, for the exercise it affords. I also own a pool table and love to play. I love the outdoors, but my activities are somewhat limited by the two acl surgeries I've had over the years caused by tennis and skiing. So, easy hikes versus climbing mountains, sledding versus snowboarding, and golf versus tennis.

I have been divorced for over a year from a long term marriage. I have two children, a daughter aged 17 and a son aged 21. I am on congenial terms with my "ex" as we share custody of our kids. No worries about a reunion, NO "Parent Trap" scenerio here. Anyway, my daughter lives with me occassionally.

My need for "personal space" is limited as I mostly live alone. I love to be around people, share stories and jokes. I am a "people" person versus a loner. I am very passionate about my profession as a high school math teacher for at-risk students. Teaching at an urban high school for these past three years, I have learned a lot about myself and my priorities. To start things off: I do NOT want a relationship based solely on sex. AT ALL. I take sex far too seriously and just don't want to deal with that emotionally. If you don't like it, then go find someone else to message about how much you want to bang them.
That being said, I'm trying to figure out what to say about myself. I'll just be honest and say it all so no one gets the idea I'm someone I'm not.
I'm opinionated, to the point where I will generally never change my mind about something. I will generally not try to change someone else's mind about something unless I feel strongly about it, and even then I'll shut up if you want me to.
I am quirky. It is not easy to be friends with me. I oftentimes wonder why my friends tolerate me. I have a tendency to be rather bitchy when I'm stressed, but I try my hardest to make up for it when I can. Here's an example: I snapped loudly at a couple of friends the other night, and consequently apologized violently and brought them food.
I try to be funny, because there is nothing more special to me than the laughter of the people I care about. Sometimes my jokes aren't funny at all and are actually sort of dumb, my sincerest apologies.
I am insanely protective of the people I love. Do anything to any of my friends or my family, and you and I will at least have words. Maybe more. All of my friends' significant others get a speech from me: "You hurt him/her or upset him/her, and I will be on your doorstep with a baseball bat." And I'm serious. I will take on anyone who hurts one of my loved ones, I don't care who you are.
I'm often awkward and uncharacteristically quiet when meeting someone new, especially a potential romantic interest. I am SCARED TO DEATH to insult them, even though once I get to know someone I tend to just run my mouth off.
That's another thing. I talk. I talk and talk and usually my mouth is going LONG before my brain engages. I try my hardest to not offend anyone or make insulting jokes, so if I offend you tell me. I will shut the hell up.
My temper almost has an on and off switch. I get angry very easily, but I also calm down pretty easily too. And then I apologize for my actions to the point that I'm insulting myself and calling myself names. I can be pretty sensitive at times, mostly because I used to just lie down and take it and I was very unhappy then. I vowed to never take crap from anyone anymore. I also get lonely rather easily, which leads to more angst.
I love people... okay let me clarify that. Society as a whole gets on my nerves, but I love individuals. The people I surround myself with, I would do anything for. I have inadvertently set up three of my friends with people I was interested in, and didn't do anything about it. It upset me, but my friends' happiness is far more important to me. I bailed a friend out of homelessness and beat up her mom's abusive boyfriend in the same night. I take care of my people.
All that scary stuff being said, I'm a hopeless romantic. I do NOT demand chivalry, but it makes my knees quiver. The one time I got flowers from a guy, I wanted to marry him. I'm a big fan of all the cute stuff, like snuggling on a couch and taking long walks at night. I do not like extensive PDA, you know the kind where the couple is practically eating each other's faces in public. But I do like holding hands or walking with an arm around each other. In private, I'm a lot more touchy-feely. I like hugs just a bit more than kisses, because nothing beats a big hug from your friend or loved one.
I try my hardest not to judge people. There are some things that make me a bit uncomfortable, but they will never end a friendship. I've been enough of a fuckup in my life that I don't think it's fair to judge someone. I consider myself to be pretty open minded, but there are exceptions to every rule. I believe in honesty... someone being honest with me is a bigger turn-on than almost anything.
Oh, and the three things I will geek out about: music, movies, and serial killers. I got a book with actual interviews with some of the sickest murderers out there, and wouldn't shut up about it for like three days.

I am a writer who loves life. I spend a lot of my free time with my stories and music. I could easily put those aside to share that time with the right person or share those things with them.

I work at a Lending firm where I am a Quality Control Auditor. I have a fixed 40 hour schedule and all my weekends are free which is something I really enjoy.

I still live with my family (parents, sister and brother) due to the fact that living costs are still too high for me to move out.

Weight loss is one of my most important goals. Like many Americans I'm a bit overweight but I have never given up on trying to get to my goal weight. I know it will happen because I am the kind of person who is determined to reach his goals at all reasonable cost.

Where to begin....I do not really think of myself too often. I think about the other people in my life before myself. Family is the most important thing to me. I love to read, mostly books that I can just enjoy, however, I do enjoy learning and reading material that makes me think. Music. I love music, who doesn't? I love listening to music that I can sing along to, and dance to. I love listening to music that I can relate to and that speaks to me.

Well lets see.....I did the Navy for 5 years and have been out for a year now and am happily goin to school now. I love computers and cars. I drive a VW and love the thing to death. I love to go out to eat and movies. The zoo is a great palce to visit too. I also love just stayin in and watchin TV or messin around on the internet. I cooked in the Navy, but dont do much of that now. Only thing I still like to make is breakfast items. You know eggs to sandwiches...the good stuff. I love to smile and you can usually always see me smiling or laughing. If I am not smiling then I am super mad which happens like once in a blue moon.

Anyways, i'm a pretty laid-back kind of guy. I like to take a situation and twist it so it can be funny, because what's a life without laughing? I like sports alot, but i'm mostly a homer (avs, broncos, rockies, nuggets).

I just recently graudated from Johnson and Wales University with a AS in Culinary Arts. I am taking the next semester or two off to get some experience and get some rainy-day money saved up so I can go back to school and continue on for a BS in Nutrition or Sports Nutrition. I am also self-studying currently to test and be certified to be a wine sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Other than that, I love to do Tae Kwon Do, and have done it my entire life practically. I fight competitively in it as well. I was national champion in 2007, and was ranked #2 collegiately when I was still in college (hopefully #1 when I go back)

I was a high school student ambassador in 2005. This gave me a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to the country of Japan. I had such a great experience there, that my only regret is that I wasn't able to have a better one by being able to speak their language (which i'm now currently attempting to learn so I can make a return trip). This taught me how wonderful of a world we have and has given me the itch to attempt to travel to as many foreign places as I can before work/funding/age/my body all hamper me down and i'm no longer able to.

I also love to play video games. Love it so much that I was a sponsored (not professional) gamer for a few years of my life. I competed mostly in Halo, but also Street Fighter and Madden. It gave me a great chance to meet some wonderful people, make some great friends, and network all across the United States and a little bit of the world. I'm not currently competing, however I am going to start breaking back into it with a couple of new games (Halo 3, BlazBlue) because I miss it so much
